Don't get too fancy with your order. In fact, don't even order the sandwiches. Rather, order a pile of your favorite meat and ask for bread. You'll come out ahead for making your own sandwiches rather than paying the convenience fee of having the hired help make them.
Avoid the ribs and chicken, both are under-seasoned and over-cooked. The brisket is respectable. The pulled pork, on the other hand, is very good and our current favorite. One pound of pulled pork and 8 (free) slices of bread will set you back exactly $7. The pork is not true North Carolinian-style pulled pork, but is smokey, juicy and flavorful nonetheless. If you buy some of the coleslaw out of the fridge cabinet, you can make a reasonable approximation of a Carolina BBQ sandwich (pork, slaw, and sauce on white bread).
